Located 100 miles west of Sheridan on Highway 14A, 100 miles east of Yellowstone and 90 miles southwest of Billings, Lovell is the perfect base camp for your next adventure...

Spend some time in the Big Horn Mountains camping, fishing, hiking, and view the mysterious Medicine Wheel. The beauty of the Big Horns and the panaramic view of the Big Horn Basin are a photographer's dream.

Just east of Lovell on Wyoming Highway 37 in the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area your adventure continues with boating, water skiing, lake fishing, hiking and western history. Enjoy a picnic on the beach after cooling off in the lake at Horseshoe Bend. The 71-mile long Big Horn Lake is a water skiers' paradise!

Horses? We have horses... Wild horses. They Prior Mountain Wild Horse Range is the first designated wild horse range in the United States. It is a sanctuary for wild horses descended from Spanish Mustangs. Take a drive along Wyoming Highway 37 and you may spy some of these elusive horses, Bighorn Sheep and other wildlife that make this area home.

Visiting during the winter months? Snowmobiling on the west side of the Big Horn Mountains is accessible at the Crystal Creek rest stop. Love ice fishing? Big Horn Lake is the place to go to catch the monsters!
